Why does this forest look like a fingerprint?
We set out to solve why a forest in the middle of Uruguay looked like that - and wound up finding something much bigger.

Deep in the geographic center of Uruguay, there’s a peculiar group of trees just a few kilometers down the road from the small town of San Gregorio de Polanco. From the ground, it's not particularly notable. But from above, the view is mind-boggling: Hundreds of trees are arranged in perfect concentric arcs, all spiraling toward the center. Together, they look remarkably like a human fingerprint.
When we first saw this forest in a Reddit post, we were fascinated. Why had the trees been arranged in this shape? Who planted them there? And why - when you zoom out on satellite view - was the entire country of Uruguay covered in similar-looking forests? To answer that question, we went straight to the source: interviewing locals, experts, and people whose lives have been shaped by a transformed landscape and economy.

Ah the global north doing a colonialism. This tale is more evergreen than the trees. I saw the same trees in Galicia, Spain so this monoculture is not restricted to the global south but of there’s poverty, rainfall, and land here come the pine and eucalyptus sticks.
The Republican Party is also the party of Ronald Reagan and George Bush.
So much wrong information on military operations. And the lack of knowledge is inssne. Why don't you get someone with real military expertise on the show? Well I think it's because you wouldn't get the same negative you seek
Sales and Income taxes are inherently a robbery of the working class. The only fair tax is the tax on the unimproved value of land. Georgism is the answer!

Isreal is an ancient country (4 thousand years old) that was stolen by Islam in 1100 AD. Islam was kicked out of Isreal after WW1 and they have been terrorizing Isrealies since Ireal was re-established in 1948. Once the Mosque is gone from Jerusalem it will be easier to expand Isreals boards to be the intended 10x10x10x10.

I'm just letting all of you know, this is leading towards, if my calculations are correct, autonomous flying drones capable of military strikes that are controlled by AI.

Most Americans don't have any excess funds to save after paying for daily necessities.
Ya know, I do love life. I’d like to stay in it for as long as possible. But here in the States, that’s just impossible as far as healthcares affordability. I make 20 bucks a hour and I’m barely makin it. It’s just enough to have maybe 2 or 300 dollars leftover from every paycheck. And even then, that goes to something that I need just to survive. Health insurance, and the corporations that run them, are actually working in the opposite way of helping people. We can’t afford to eat healthy let alone put gas in our cars, pay rents, pay bills, and pay for catastrophic health and dental insurance prices. The problems mount from there.
Thanks for this
Is there archaeological evidence that includes actual human remains? Cemeteries? Houses? Buildings? Pottery and other cooking implements. The claim "could have supported 60,000 people" - "larger than many European cities of the time" without that evidence seems questionable.
Nice that you deleting Comments against Palestinians. So no free Opinions in this Commentsection. 😂
Can be the UA-cam algorithm. It's overly politically correct. My comments also gets deleted, not even shadowbanned.
That was a rollercoaster of emotions
Most of the flooring shown in the example images looks like vinyl, not linoleum. I can’t stand when so-called designers on home shows call vinyl linoleum. It shows their lack of knowledge, training, and/or expertise. I immediately discount the entirety of their opinions.
Plant trees 😅
Our wonderful ANCESTORS who are unsung hero's.... planted these tree!
Pulp isn't the only processed product from these mills. Possibly the more valuable product is extracted oils from eucalyptus woodchip. This is the case with euca woodchip in South Western Australia where the plantations are owned by Japanese companies, wood is chipped dockside and then shipped to Japan for processing.
I am happily renting. I don’t want the responsibilities of being single in my 20s finding an electrician, plumber, general home repair issues like roofing ….newly built homes nowadays are rushed and built quickly with low quality materials…. hoa fees, and in general cost of home ownership.
Humanity as a species no longer has survival instincts. We have become docile cattle in a system where a handfull of people hoard wealth and do everything in their power to keep hold of it. Eventually there will only be a couple of people per country who controll everything living in their own bubble who see the rest of humanity as an unnecessary burden which should be corrected. Thats capitalism for you, its human nature; give anybody enough money and power and they will behave rhis way.
@3:40 way to leave out the Israeli terrorism, Nakba, how Palestine wasn't consulted in the creation of the new borders.
They have a JINGLE for prescribed medication? 😅 Do Americans just go to the doctor or store and ask for it then just get it? That's wild.
fckisrael
The hilarious thing is thst the trees that are cut down here in Berlin for the tesla factory and extensions, are exaclty this: grown as placeholder trees, relatively low quality wood just for paper production. But the protesters are against deforestation, even though the trees are not even supposed to be here. They were placed there decades ago while the area waited for another car manufacturer to build a factory 😂😂😂
TectonBuilt ~ Watch for it -
I knew somthing was wrong when they find out it is all eucalyptus trees😢.
Props to the Biden Administration for preventing Kroger from merging with Albertson's. It would have created a monopoly where nearly EVERY grocery store consumers purchased from, would be owned by Kroger/Albertson's. The merger would have allowed them to demand EVEN HIGHER PRICES.
Feels like a true crime documentary.
A true 'humanity's fingerprint' story.
Careful! The leftists will claim aforestation is the major cause of some boogeyman.
Oops! Too late.
If extrapolated from 30000 hamas fighters, does this mean israel is ok with killing at least 450000 civilians??
Wow. Does Vox even try to be credible anymore? What an absolute joke. I mean, let's ignore the fact you deliberately omit several significant parts to this complex issue devoid of all historical context. You don't even get ONE line into your narrative without making a factual error.
They really called the thing gospel... Right wing monsters
